Les tablatures de la collection Albani : valorisation numérique d’un patrimoine musical inédit

The Ricercar Lab of the Centre d'études supérieures de la Renaissance (Tours) and the Ente Olivieri of Pesaro (Italy) have created a partnership with the aim of promoting the digitization of an exceptional collection of several hundred 16th and 17th century lute works, gathered in twenty-six manuscripts rediscovered in 2018. These tablatures constitute a fundamental contribution to our knowledge of Italian instrumental music of the late Renaissance. This project proposes the open digital publication of these images enriched with complete musicological metadata, and their exposure on the Biblissima+ portal via the IIIF protocol. It will therefore develop a chain of tools allowing to link the relational database Ricercar and its image warehouse to the Biblissima+ portal. These developments will serve as a prototype for the exposure of other types of musical data (books of vocal polyphony, encoded scores, audio formats) in the portal. They thus lay the first building blocks for the realization of the objectives of cluster 6 of the EquipEx+.
