Job Offer (IRHT, Paris): Research Assistant at the IRHT, Section romane
The Section romane at the IRHT is looking to recruit a Research Assistant to input the research team's paper records into the Jonas database, within the scope of the Biblissima project. This full-time position will last for six months, starting on 15th March 2014.
COST/IRHT Training School "Transmission of Texts: New Tools, New Approaches"
The IRHT (Paris) is pleased to announce a Training School on the "Transmission of Texts: New Tools, New Approaches", to be held from 31st March to 4th April 2014. It is funded by COST ACTION IS 1005 Medieval Europe. Medieval Cultures and Technological Resources, and run in collaboration with Biblissima. Registration is open until midnight on 10th February 2014.
COST/IRHT Training School: Paris, 31 March - 5 April 2014
The IRHT – Institut de recherche et d’histoire des textes (Paris) – is pleased to announce the Training School “Transmission of texts: new tools, new approaches”, funded by the COST ACTION IS 1005 Medieval Europe. Medieval Cultures and Technological Resources, and run in collaboration with Biblissima (Campus Condorcet). This five-day intensive course will take place in Paris and Saint-Denis, from 31st March to 5th April 2014.
Interoperable Viewer Prototype Now Online (Mirador)
The Biblissima team has recently launched a viewer prototype which will give users a clear idea of the new possibilities that become available as a result of the interoperability of digital image repositories, both within the scope of the Biblissima project and beyond. This application, known as Mirador, is developed and maintained by Stanford University as part of the DMSTech project.
Documentation Website for the Biblissima Observatory Now Online
The Biblissima team has launched a website for the documentation which will be produced during the construction of the Observatory for the written cultural heritage of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance (Phase 1 of the project): doc.biblissima-condorcet.fr
Summer School in Chartres: Selected Participants
Congratulations to all the participants selected for Biblissima's first summer school, entitled "Reconstituer une bibliothèque médiévale aujourd'hui : l'exemple de Chartres". Participants will be hosted by the Médiathèque de Chartres, "l'Apostrophe", from 27th to 31st August 2013.
